I would like to ask if it is possible to add Europa as Country in the Server search lists: here

We are a European clan and don't want to be fixed on one or the other Country. So we would like to have European Flaggs on our Serverbanner instead of any Countrys like Germany or Russia.

Everyone has little preconceptions against the one or other Country and I m sure more people from diffrent European Countrys would easyer come and play together than if the Country is shown.

But the main thing is, I m a proud European Citizen and I would like to show it. The Future is Europa

And in the Latest Games like BC2 or MoH you also just search for Europa.

So please, please, please.

The location flag of a server is meant to display the physical location of the server. This is useful for people in determining a server that is close to them, however if it became so general people would run into issues (such as ping). For example, someone in Spain would not be able to distinguish between a server in Spain and a server in Denmark.

Because of this, I would propose a modified request. To the "Located in" drop down on the server page, add a category of options to search by continent.

I'm totally with the above users first because I also feel me and mine services as European and thus I would desire to show them as that in my opinion the European Union should have enough weight to be worth of appear there think that politics aside (wich is not the purpose of the discussion) the European Union already count with a notable representation on the internet via its own top level domain so I understand that it should be normal to be selectable there and second personal thoughs aside on the technical part I also agree with burn on the dial-up/early dsl connections times the location was critical but nowdays the difference between most central-european locations is zero or just simply marginal so it technicaly makes sense to fit this into a European frame.

@burn: I think the destination between for example Las Vegas and New York is much bigger than for example from Barcelona to Warsaw

and you US guy's have all the same Flagg. that means your location example dont really work. and people form spain and denmark easyly can play together.

We are using the official country list for country definitions, seen here:

http://www.iso.org/iso/english_country_names_and_code_elements

However, we may add a region option in the search in the future - we will add this to our list of suggestions.
