Due to some spike lag issues, maintenance was performed on our server box, this included the changing of the NIC. Date: Tuesday 12/28 from about 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Server was ranked #5 before.

After the work was completed we lost the rank and all players data. Is there any way to get it back?

was added to GameTracker on 2010-12-28 19:52:12 so it will only have historical data from that date forward.

Its possible there was a server with that ip:port in the GameTracker database that was deleted from our database and then re-added at the date listed above.

Did the ip and/or port change for this server when you performed maintenance?

no it wasn't changed at all. We did a upgrade maintenance on our dedicated box. After that all servers came back up but this server was 1st percentile and unclaimed. I just reclaimed it again on the 28th. It was ranked 5th before our box went down. IP and port exact same, did not have any issues with PSB and PBBANS.

I suspect someone tried to add this server using the website form even though it already existed but was showing as "dead". In this situation there is a chance the old server may be deleted and the new server added (even though they are the same) resulting in all the historical data being deleted. (This could also happen automatically through some background processes.)

Normally, its just a matter of waiting until GameTracker re-scans the server as alive instead of trying to re-add the server.

We will be adding some additional checks to prevent this from occurring in the future.

Unfortunately, once a server is deleted, all stored data associated with that server is unrecoverable. If your server gets the same amount of traffic as before, it should regain its ranking in short order.
