Hello boys and girls. I just started using GameTracker and decided to download "GameTracker Lite". After installing I noticed that GameTrackers Service was always running in the background, even when I'm not gaming. So I just did a quick test and set the Service to Manual. But when I tried to load GTLite it wouldn't connect. Like some programs, GTLite's service is unable to start from launching the program and the program won't run without the service first.
So I made a quick .bat file and shortcut to Start the service and then launch GTLite. Works perfect and saves my computer some resources. I figured I would share it with you. So for anyone who is meticulous like me and likes to set their computer to use the least amount of resources, here yah go. GTLite (Manual).zip Compressed Zip Folder (1.78KB) README Included in .zip /////// Directions //////// Go to START > RUN type services.msc Go down to "GS In-Game Service" > right click > Properties Set Startup Type: Manual Then click "Stop" under Service status Then click Apply Then Click OK Close Services Place GTLite (Manual).bat into your GameTracker Directory: C:\Program Files\GameTracker Place the GameTracker Lite shortcut wherever you want. You should overwrite the original shortcut. Running GameTracker Lite through my shortcut will Start the GS In-Game Service and then Launch GameTracker Lite. /////////////////////////////////////////////////// Now you don't need to have the GS Service running 24/7 wasting resources. If you want to save memory when your done using GameTracker go back into Services and Stop the GS In-Game Service. enjoy ![]() Made By: RUNARMY0F1 Note: If your GameTracker Directory is not "C:\Program Files\GameTracker" Right click my GameTracker Lite Shortcut and change the "Target" and "Start in" command to match where your GameTracker Directory is.

Good idea. I thought the same thing and use a .bat of my own. I hate having extra services running when I don't need them.
