hello some people in our gaming team are having problems with thier names.once they have gotten their big tags when they add them to their name and remove the small tags.it seems gametracker still keeps tracking them with thier old name.
all of the people envolved who have changed their the name shows correct in the server yet when they look at it in the server stats it is still registering them in their old name not the one they use now.
is thier a reason for this?do we have to get them to make a special name while they are just a recruit for us so that it reads right once they are promoted to big tags?(seeing the big tags and little tags are just different in size)
some people dont care about score or hours they have played they just would really like their names to be right when other people visit our game tracker page to show their actual team names.

GameTracker tracks players by alias. If a player's name is "Bob" you will have to look at the player profile for "Bob" to see stats. If the player changes to "Bob-CLAN" you will have to look under this new profile for stats.

so what i am saying about my problem is that on ourn halo server and killing floor server recruits who had the tags as gRd and that are now big tag members with the tags of GrD are still showing on gametracker as small tags not as their big tags.
they have searched our game tracker for each game and it only shows thier small tags.they havent used aliases just the name with thier new big tags which in turn ony has letter changes.
but yet when they add nicknames they find their new tagged names as being right just not on the score/hours played on the actual server activity list.

Try reseting stats for those select aliases. Since there is no change in characters, it is probably recorded the same. The first alias form that is played under is the form that is saved in the player stats.

i did delete thier stats and everything.when they started playing again it registered it as same small tags name even though in game and on steam it is the large tag.
if i get them to delete thier gametracker account for awhile then redo it do you think that would help?we are just wanting things to match our players.ty again for your reposts stay safe happy gaming.

They don't need to delete their gametracker accounts.

Can you post links to example players that were reset, the user started playing with different capitalization, and then it continued to track under the old character casing?

This sounds like a case sensitivity issue? I believe GameTracker.com is case insensitive when storing player names. I'll look into this further when I get a chance.

yea all it seems to me is that since they changed thier tags and the different cases its still reading the lower case ty again for your help and i hope we can figure this out as always stay safe and happy gaming

I Have a similar problem in "Death Warrant:Monster Mash RPG - Chicago" for UT2004. My in game name is "DW>FrankyTheFly" with a upper case "F" for the word "Fly" but GameTracker have my name with a lower case "f" in the word "Fly" (like this "DW>FrankyThefly"). I probably made a mistake once using a lower case letter "f" and it register the name like this, now it won't revert too the original name with a upper case "F" even if I have been playing with the original name since then.

When I do a search for "DW>FrankyTheFly" I got a result hit in "Death Warrant:Monster Mash RPG - Chicago" but when i clicked on the name it display an error page, if I search for "DW>FrankyThefly" (lower case f) then I get a hit in the same server but this time it bring me to the player stats page.

I guess the only way to correct this would be to edit the name directly into the database and replacing the lower case "f" with the original upper case "F".
