The problem will return. We've been having it for 6+ months, it has not stopped.

For some reason, intentional or not, someone is sending malformed packets to your server...this is causing the error. Messing about with your RM will not solve the problem, except for shutting it down and not having any way to admin your servers.

Someone is trying to kill the game.

I think you are a bit quick to dismiss this thread, this is effects Gametracker more than us, our games are up and running, players can join direct or through gamespy board. What they are doing is blocking Gametracker from scanning to get game information or stats, which puts you out of bussiness not us, and makes you just a chat blog
