Seems as though many people try to log onto game tracker and create fake user names and claim to be other people.

One instance I am having is on this blog:

I along with others, are having problems with a few "users" claiming to be other people, especially one claiming to be 'me'.

These are the user names:

I've had to change my user name several times due to instances with these trollers.

What can be done? We (myself and a few others from the same blog/server) have filed multiple complaints.

I think gametracker admin should just close the blog on sluxx server.

This is what burn said he would do the time before last time there where problems and he reset it.

Playing there for 2 years+, I think we all know each other from so many things....play style, chat patterns, etc...

There are so many ways for a mature adult to know if this is real Sophie, Grof, or Dupo for example....it is like a character. Once you get knowing that character you'll never miss it.

But that needs experience and attention to details, and most of us just wan't to have fun when we log on to play...so better than resetting the nlog is preventing trolls...I agree. But there is no way to do that, apparently, and all that talk about subnet mask and stuff is just crap. A GT admin knows who logs on to GT by his IP and other stuff, but not the subnet mask...

@Sophie: Please re-read the blog..Fortis claimed some players, like darkened intentions (the real Suicide), and Wiley...and that is bad. Next day he will claim you.

Bing the noob I am, it requires joint effort between GT admins and sLuxx admin. yeah he is there but too busy to follow things closely.

And to be honest with you, guys, Wiley (the real one) has took down his GT account. We all know that....so just e-mail the man and you'll know.

What happened to Wiley is the same reason I'm keeping my account running up and live...so no one will abuse it after I'v suspended it...

Shame on GT...it is...shame...all that faking and trolling and fake accounts...

It would've been smart of Wiley to keep his account running..

Fortis have never claimed TO BE anyone but himself.
Yes he accuse some accounts of being fake. Like the aaron_suicide and wiley_coyote accounts.
But how is that wrong? I don't know who made those two accounts, and I don't care really. I just know they are fakers, both of them.
All of the ppl who write on that blog is being unfriendly and calling names and shit.
Why does that make one peson more bad than another??

In my opinion there's no way to keep out the idiots and fakers, unless Incendiary start caring.

That leaves two options.

1. Stop reading and posting on the blog unless you want to be part of the mess. If there's no one responding to the fakers then it wont be much fun! If you do decide to write on the blog, then stop whining to the GT admins!

2. Shut down the blog completely!

As for sluxx as a whole. There will ALWAYS be idiots, cheaters, fakers there. If you can't stand it then stay away.
It is never going to change!

When you claim a server you have a option to disable a blog. So that can be done by owner of the server.
