I am the owner of the server and have claimed ownership, the server is dead, but I cannot delete it, the "delete" button is not highlighted..

GameServers.com servers that are automatically added have the delete button disabled. It will remove itself from the site after extended downtime.

It depends on how long it was on the site for. If it was recently added, it might only be a few days. There is no simple formula that I am aware of.
