Agreed, I wonder if there's a rcon working group to standardize this stuff across the online gaming industry! Would be nice and if there isn't one, perhaps GT can start prodding all game developers for it as you seem to have most to gain/lose as a game server tracker site.

Well could it be done in the way that we contact you to do it, because my entire box (which has 5 servers on it) was just moved and all my IP's are different. Which means that I lose all the ranks that we worked hard to attain.

Furthermore, it wont allow us to track subdomains (TS.ABGN.NET instead of 00.000.000.00) which means that we cant re-park.

I would be happy to half to contact the core admin team in order to get this done, it is better than no option at all and told bad luck.

Who are "professional" server hosters? Gameservers.com? We have lag on our server and all they can offer us to prevent that lag is to move our BF3 Server to a diffrent IP and "hope" the problem is fixed. So yeah, i guess it is our fault we picked a "professional" server hoster who cant solve problems than moving a server to a new ip and "hoping" the problem will be fixed.

At least the stuff of gametracker should be able to change it in such circumstances.

Well then F gametracker then if you won't import the new database for us...

What a waist of webhosting space....

You know damn well that any GT admin with acess to the data base can port the server ip or for that matter the tables out of the database for any server.

Lets hear from one of the real GT admins about this because your an iddiot sorry ...

Actually this is the dumbest reply I have ever heard by a so called ADMIN of any org. So I am deciding to post again to reiterate.

1. It's your freaking web hosting package and an admin of GT with access to the data can move it or do whatever.
2. I am a web host and deal with site 5000000 time more complex than yours on a daily basis and know for a fact that you can do what we are all needing done.
3. You definitely must be like a super newb admin or just so lazy that you don't want to ask a senior admin for the answer on how to accomplish this task for us.
4. You should at least give a GT member, group or whatever the ability to pay for this transfer of data (or change of data) to your members if you just don't want to do it for free.
5. Maybe so called GT admin should consider supporting it's loyal members instead of flat out lieing or just talking out your ass.

I request you get us in touch with your engineer so we can actually maybe get an answer that isn't BS or an answer that tells us to F off and maybe then we can get something done.

Not respectively,

beef

As you clearly read, it is not that it is "impossible." There is just no known way to prove that the change in IP is legitimate - one server is shut down and a new server is the direct replacement. Just being able to change the IP is VERY exploitable. We are not going to invade user's privacy and request invoices or contact their server hosts.

If you actually have some sort of suggestion instead of severely rude flaming, please consider starting a new thread on this but only if that is the case. Topic closed.
