So I am running a ARMA 2 server on 143.167.132.22:2302
The ports are open in the firewall (2302-2305) people can connect to play just fine. I have tried the query port on 2302,2303 (which it should be) and I get nothing. Is there something else that needs setting up in server config? Something which might be related is I can only connect to RCON on the local network, from a public IP the server doesn't appear to connect BE-RCON however on localhost or local LAN it is working fine. Cannot work out what is wrong having tried over and over. |

Hello,
Do you have it set up to use that IP? If you have more than one IP on the machine, you would need to enter the IP in the config (or command line or however ArmA2 does it) so uses that IP address. Are you hosting it locally? If so, is your router portforwarded correctly too, if applicable? Also, this appears to be an IP from a University. If you are on a school network, they may also need to open ports at their level (if they would even allow this on their network). ![]()

The server has only 1 external IP, however I shall go in and set that now.
It's not a local server no port forwarding required, full internet access for the server with firewall though the ports are open. I had them opened especially for this (it is a university.) EDIT: Even with IP set it doesn't appear to see it. This is the same case with DayZ. The ARMA2 server is not ran with any mods. EDIT2: ARMA2 is running on Port 2300 now and DayZ on 2032. Neither work.

Working now, turns out the firewall admin has neglected to open both UDP and TCP.
Cheers for the help. |
