Im sure much people have asked this but maybe somebody can help me one more time.

My problem is that Im "semi-new" in this and I dont really know what cause lag to my players. When we are 2 vs 2 or 3 vs 3 used to be good but when we are more, people complain and leave the game, above all people from América (Im spanish).

I think my conexion and my pc are both good, and In this month Im alone at home so Im the only who is using my router.

My conexion (using www.testdevelocidad.es):

Download: Between 13000 - 15000 Kbps

Upload: between 800 - 1000 Kbps

I DONT USE WIFI, I USE Network cable (PLC with transmitter and receiver)

Is important the upload Net conexion for running the server?

My PC:

Network adapter name: RTL8168/8111 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (my mother board has one year so it has to be good)

AMD Phenom II X4 Cores 965 processor 3.40 Ghz

RAM: 8 GB

Win 7 proffessional 64 bits

Grafic Card Ati Raddeon Sapphire 5770 Series 1 gb

I dont know how to improve Pings, and lag... Above all when more of 6 players are online. Is important dont use Chrome while server on? I only search things or check my facebook nothing more.

Here are my rates (they are default because the calculator gave me some unplayable rates):

sv_maxupdaterate 101
sv_minupdaterate 60
sv_maxrate 25000

I have read something about FPS to improve lag or I dont know... If u someone could help me..

Thanks you!

I have 1000MB/sec but it only ever uses MAX about 80kbsec upload and less download , trouble is with home coonections is they tend to have little breaks in connection only for 30 seconds or so but thats enough to loose all your players , try these settings and tell me how you get on

also put your server on high priority in task manger can help
