As the original poster typed... I am all for a way to update the IP and re-claim a server or have it store a fixed hostname instead of just the IP address.

My server was rank 2 on HL2DM. A few minutes ago, my IP switched, so I guess I'll have to re-add the server and climb back up the ranks. I know that happens quickly if the server average remains the same, but all player stats will be lost

Its seems we all understand the issue here put the admin does not
so let me put it real basic
1 we have a server and lots of stats on this IP
2 are isp decides for whatever reason they need to change the ip of our server
3 We have the same server same players but different IP
4 We want a way to move all the stats to the new ip or just be able to change the IP of a server and not loose players stats

It would seem you are in this line of work to make money. Why is tkis not at the very least offered as a pay per use feature. Surely you would be able to track stats. from one IP to another IP using a elovated account User and Password linked to the server owners wallet (credit card/pay-pal) account. Could offer more fluff stuff for cash .Such as things like more eye-candy. for the server stats. page and clan forums.

But after loosing all the member ranks the first time. I started running my own local member rank database/website page. (much more detailed )
Also I post up links of screen shots taken from the GT member rank page (top 50; image hosted and linked to my file server.0

No reason anyone should need to do all of this.

Please raise your priority on porting stats. from one IP to another. Thinkof the $$$ you are loosing.
