Hello,
I just post on this forum because I would have asked whether it was possible change the ip of my server so I can keep the same ranking? This is exactly the same server, only the machine and the ip changes. (188.165.239.30:27025 => 188.165.200.6:27025) Thank you in advance! Sincerely, OrOoX |

Hi,
Unfortunately there is no feature to modify the IP of a server page or transfer stats to a new page. If your server is just as popular, it will regain its rank relatively quickly. ![]() |

Admin i am having a problem with my public IP. My IP changes Everytime after shutting my machine. Is there anyway to stop this, can i create account with my static ip and the clients redirect to my variable public ip themselves.

they are charging 5000 @ annum for the static ip.. but one of my friend living in maharashtra using a normal broadband connection just gave me his public ip and it never changes.
I contacted the ISP today only and he said you have to buy the static ip from us or else there are engineers who may help you to fix your ip. |

Sorry to intrude on this thread. But, I know what your reasons are for not allowing Dynamic IPs (can't be sure that it's the same server), and I understand them. I think I have a solution to that, though.
What about creating a software that can be downloaded onto the dedi that constantly monitors the IP address of the server (the Public one, obviously, not the LAN one), and if it changes, update it on GameTracker? To be sure that it's not a different machine, have the program check the BIOS number, or a MAC Address or something. Allow it to update multiple instances (like one port on the IP is one server, another port on the same IP is another server, etc). |

but the prob is that as soon as i register gametracker with an IP. Gametacker fixes the ip and it can't be changed. you have to register with the new ip again, if i am right.

I sure you can't do this.. i have even tried dns links.. but gametracker tracks the ip out of it and register the server with that ip.. i have a server singham.pulicvm.com and the software updates the ip at regular interval but as soon as i registered my server here with this dns link, gametracker tracked my ip and registered the ip rather that the dns link.. so right now gametracker only accepts static ip and not dynamic.
