My Trend Micro Titanium wont let me download the new update. It says that there is a TROJ_FAKEAV.BMC in the file. Should I be worried?

GT Lite does not have any viruses. Can you take a screenshot of the message, along with indicate which version of GT Lite you are downloading and which Trend Micro product you are using?
I am retired from GameTracker after 11 years and will not be responsive for support requests.

I am trying to upgrade to GT lite version 1.4.0 for windows.

I'm using Trend Micro Titanium Internet Security 2012 version 5.4.1023.

I tried to down load it 3 times and this what I keep getting.

Hi peterde,

Thanks for posting this. Yes, trend micro also picked up GTSetup on virus total: https://www.virustotal.com/file/5c6346f6a190e01c1dcffec544a95a3ea70c670649e33dc93bcdf0ece816aabc/analysis/

This is most likely related to GTSetup's automatic download of runtime components.

If you feel that the download is safe, I would consider changing your trend micro settings to allow downloads from installer.gametracker.com. You may need to consult the product manual or their support team for instructions.
I do not provide support over PM. Please ask your questions on the GameTracker forums.
