I just played a short UT99 match on a GT registered server with GTlite running in background. After a while i checked my player stats on that server and it displayed only about half my kills from that game.
What do i need the software for if it doesn't transmit accurate data? I don't see the uses if i get the same accuracy as when i don't run the software and let my points be collected via the normal server scans. Also there is a timezone thing which i find illogical on the servers player profiles. When i view the "Last seen:" for a player in the server list it seems to be in the serves time zone. 1st: I have no idea what timezone that is (its not stated), so there is no basis to recalculate it into my timezone on my own 2nd: I don't care about this info in the servers timezone, wouldn't it be more logical to have that time displayed in the timezone the viewing user is registered in? So i could really see "hey that one was online just a few minutes ago"? |

GT Lite doesn't actually track the points on the server, just time which is then shown on your profile page. GT Lite is used for users that want to track that time, along with provide access to using the auto-join URLs, easy access to favorites, upload screenshots, etc.
Your history on a server will always be artificially low due to the fact that GT does not scan servers at every available second. It easily could miss a few points at the end of the round, for example. It's also important to note that player history does not update immediately. It may take up to a few hours to update your player profile with that info. I do believe the time zone listed on the player page is either Eastern time or the timezone all of the forum posts and messages appear for you as. Currently it is not customize-able. The player banner will always be in Eastern Time, though. ![]() |

Timezone changes, yes but I am not sure on a time frame.
Add player tracking into GT Lite - not that I am aware, that's what GameTracker.com is for. ![]() |

You could use the gametracker software to keep track of points more accurately compared with the regular server scans, so your servers dont have to do the work.
Another idea is to increase the scanning rate on servers with people playing using the gametracker software. Just some ideas. |
