Hello,
A lot of users come here to gametracker for get the real IPs of servers (because that are not using proxys). I think that Gametracker should have the possibility to put domains, is really unsecure and there are sites teaching how to attack gametracker servers. A good server ever uses proxys, and proxys like cloudflare requires to have a domain. Gametracker is not supporting domains. Please solve this problem. |

Domain names point to IP addresses, so I am not quite sure how it provides "more security." Providing users with a domain name instead of an IP address is not a security measure.
BTW - This is not a "bug report," but rather a suggestion. GT may at some point support dynamic DNS addresses for cosmetic purposes on server pages but there is currently no timeframe that can be publicly posted. Thanks for understanding. ![]() |

I dont want to say my ip address because I'm using a proxy server for avoid attacks.
DNS addresses are not only for cosmetic. Even there are servers that uses DNS because his IP's are not static. By the way, I mean that if a player knows the real ip address he can uses this information for attack the server (DDOS Atacks for example). Attacks that can be avoid with proxy security. |
