My server is not updating correctly

My dayz epoch server does not update correctly.

here is the link to my server page:

http://www.gametracker.com/server_info/192.99.5.189:2302/

If we have 60 players on the server it does not report it. after a few hours it reports about 10 players on the server. our rank is falling because if this and we have been in the top 15 of all dayz servers. we have checked the ip's and they are not being blocked. Is there anything we can do to fix this?

I don't want to keep loosing our rank.

Thank you,

One thing to check is to download hlsw.org and compare what your server is reporting when the issue occurs. I've been monitoring the server and the online players list has been matching for the past half an hour.

If you do notice that the player list in HLSW lists 60 players but GT consistently reads 10, for instance, please take a screenshot of them side by side and post it here.

ok, I will give this a try. It just seems that when we have 40 to 60 players it does not show the list of players on gametracker and the rank does not update. also the graphs report a lower players than it should.

I will give this a go and report back.

Thank you.

The one thing to keep in mind about the graphs is that they show an average. Unless you average 50 players over an hour, it will not be quite that high.

I noticed when I was watching it earlier today it was at 40+ players (in GT and HLSW) and then for the other half of the hour it was in the 20s on both. As a result it was about 30 on average (which matches the same time on your graph).

ok, thanks for checking on this.

I tried to sign up at HLSW but it did not send me a confirmation code in my email. I checked my spam filter and then tried to resend it 3 more times with no success. Also, I tried a different email account with the same results.

There is no way to contact them on the website or forum without confirming my account.

So, I don't know if will be able to us HLSW until they fix the new account activation problem.

Gametracker seems to be updating now. One thing I did do last night was update the game type on the manage server page. I wonder if this fixed it or if it was just a fluke.

Thank you again for your time.

P.S. Also, this is not my server any longer: http://www.gametracker.com/server_info/198.154.117.4:6802/

And I can't delete it from my account. This is an overwatch server. we used to have the IP with Survival servers but cancelled the account. someone else is using the IP now and I can't delete it from my profile. If you can fix this issue, pleas do.

With HLSW you don't need to register. When it is installed and you run it, click the offline button on the login screen.

Once you get in, just put the IP and port in the address bar and it will show up in the list (assuming it can scan). You may need to change the views / tabs up so you see the player list. It's a good utility to test scan your server.

Also, GT does not have any feature to unassign / unclaim a server from an account. If it does not let you delete it (because it was automatically added), it can only be deleted by extended downtime. However, a new owner can claim the server over you in the same manner. If you just remove it from your favorites, you should be good to go.

Ok, thanks, I got it to run. Right now the server has 52 players on it and GT is reporting 9 players. HLSW is reporting 52 players and is listing all the players on the bottom right of the window. So, GT is not reporting properly again.

If you are on line at this time (12:03am Eastern time) can you scan to see for yourself?

As I am typing this message the players have gone up to 55 players on the serer and HLSW is reporting it properly. Game Tracker still did not update the players. it is listing 9 players.

Thanks for you help on this.

NEVER MIND! it just updated properly on game tracker. the server just went through a restart so that is why it was at 9 players on GT. So, I think its fixed now.

Thanks for all your help on this.

It is happening again. The server has 38 players on it and it shows 0 players on gametracker. the history of players online is also wrong. I ran HLSW and it is reporting the players just fine. Gametracker is not reading or seeing the players online.

Can you please check this out for me?

I tried also updating the server location and game type because this seemed to work last time but still has no effect.

Let me know if anything can be done. Thank you.

The server has had between 20 and 54 players all day. Still no reflected update on Gametracker. Have you had a chance to check this out yet?

Thank you.
