Sorry if this is a really crap question,

I've recently rented a hosted server from Gameservers. Really, the only part I'm playing in this is to cough up the initial cash to get it off the ground as a sort of project for my son and some of his friends.

They want to run Takistan Life. I've been told it probably won't be possible on a hosted server and will most likely need a dedicated server.

Do any of you have any experience of this or know of any work arounds?

Like I said, this is a project for a group of teenagers who have an interest in this so any advice or help is appreciated.

I would suggest that you probably need to speak directly to gameservers.com support about this.

However, burn (the administrator) knows a good deal more about them than I do, and may be able to advise you when he comes on line.
