Burn - I appreciate your response, but locking the topic prevents further discussion on your post and thus resolution on the issue.
You posted "nothing will be done about my report since it doesnt meet the publicly stated guidelines to do anything". I read those guidelines before making my very first abuse report. I just read them yet again. I am very aware of what they say. As you are in a position of enforcing the rules, I don't think it's out of line for me to ask exactly what guideline term my report does not follow? They specifically say and I quote... "MORE THAN 3 FAKE PLAYERS". If you do not think there are frequently more than 3 fake players on merlins server, then I just simply do not know how to respond to that, nor does many in the community in which you serve. Given that every time I have reported abuse, there are at least 10, and often 15 or more fake players... I'd sure like to know what guideline I am not adhering to. I'd appreciate a specific pointer to the criteria I am not meeting, nor any of the others who have reported this. How is this for specific? As of right now, there are 16 players there. 8 of them are fake. Let me take another approach instead. You say that abuse reports are checked within 24 hours. So if a server is adding fake players, all they have to do is clean them out for a few hours, then put them back up, and they are golden? That defeats the usefulness of gametracker. I would humbly submit, that if you get multiple reports on a server, and you dont see it "some time within the next 24 hours" that just perhaps it might be worthwhile to watch them more frequently? This seems to be a big hole in the game tracker system that the facts clearly show is being rampantly abused. I sure wish there was a way to keep the stats clean. |

It was locked because further discussion is not needed. We hear what you say and have your feedback. At this time, we need to apply our guidelines consistently and fairly. We understand you want details on how we approach analyzing reports. Unfortunately, giving details like that would allow people exploit that process which we actively work to prevent. Please do not create a new topic on this, thank you!
