And i've changed the IP of the dns TS.INDUNGI.RO

For like 4-7 years... Yesterday we've changed the ip of the server and we've lost our rank on GameTracker and the stats as well.

The server was linked with a DNS, however the rank was lost.



What is the issue?

The server was not banned. It was re-ranked on a new IP Address which belongs to the new server.

You have made a mistake somewhere.

I suggest that you go to your original server;
https://www.gametracker.com/server_info/93.119.24.8:9987/manage

and confirm that you have in fact entered the correct dns name.

Gametracker does not create new server pages when you change the IP address of your dns name.
Someone else has added it.

You may wish to consider taking ownership of the 'new' server https://www.gametracker.com/server_info/164.132.220.100:9987 and deleting it;
Or you could at least confirm that the new server has the correct dns name entry, once you have claimed it.

In the worst case, once you have claimed the new server, your rank will build naturally to approximately its previous level in about 7 days.

As u suggested, i was on the old server and checked the DNS entry:

DNS name IP addresses are updated once every 24 hours.
If the server can not be located, then the dns derived IP is updated more often.

We need to wait a couple of hours (maybe more, maybe less) to see if it picks up the change.

It has always work for me, but it is not 'instant'.

Ok, so time is the essence here.

However i see there's a problem within your system, because if someone else adds the server again in the gametracker, we'll need to have again this conversation.

As it looks, you can add the server via DNS and a new page would be created for the new IP.

You really can't update manually the IP of the server since it's the same DNS? It's almost 3 days now.

Development is aware of the current issues with the dns feature.

If you add the new server you will most likely lose your rank and any stats.

But, as I said above; your rank will build naturally to approximately its previous level in about 7 days.

I would wait for a bit.
Did you check if the 'new' server (that you deleted) used the IP or the dns?

Glad to see it worked.
It appears that the added server was blocking the update.
I will inform the developers about this thread.

There is no way to assign rank.
It must be earned.
Rank is based upon statistics gathered and summarised over time.

These are two physically different servers and rank can not be transferred.

It may be still possible for you to consider using the dns option explained here;
How do I migrate player stats or rank between server pages?

Your other option is to migrate player statistics to the new server, as explained in the same link, but it is not possible to migrate rank. To retain rank, you must use the dns option.
