given that this is my ET profile since years:

1) why despite me still having the original ETkey (the one made with http://etkey.org/), when I log in those 2 servers my xp and rank is at 0?
does the site detect my profile/rank/stats also through something else?
P.S: the key is in the correct folder fyi

2) why I can't get my main account be showing up as playing anymore since "Last Seen", even if I neither had changed anything inside my ET folder, nor done any XPresets, or both the servers I usually play didn't reset anything (XP-save forever)?


I don't mind having the ingame xp reset tbqh (since I know already admins can manually change that parameter in-game)

BUT

3) is there a way for the 2 servers administrators (or even gametrack admins) to restore my old ETkey stats/rank or at least merge those with the new ETkey one so that I'll be able to see again my profile as "online", and above all still be able to keep all my old profile ranks/stats on those servers?

P.P.S: just fyi, since I'm registered on Gametracker, I've never used the (now not anymore supported) GTLite client, and I've always managed to have my old profile stats be normally updated.
Having this discontinued now, does it means we won't be able anymore to use or restore our old profile data?

I will make things simple so that you can follow along.

(1) When you join a server, the nickname used will be recorded and stats will ONLY propagate if you re-join that SPECIFIC SERVER using the exact nick-name.

(2) What I've just said is EXACTLY how player historical data is updated.

(3) It has nothing to do with any external sites - it's all attributed to the nickname used.

(4) If your player historical data was reset or deleted completely; that can be the action of the server owner as they can reset it.

(5) The GT lite client has nothing to do with this.

I see, then how could be the reason of that if my nickname is exactly the same as the old account? (you can see it from the link+screenshot I posted above)

If, as you said the total xp/ranks doesn't depend on admins, why won't Gametracker detect anymore the old "DarknessSoulReaver" playing and instead creating a new one that has exactly the same name too?

No owner = no player stats.

As robin has said above: Gametracker tracks a player by name only for one/each server only.
As it says on your screenshot - "CURRENT STATS (To track historical stats, please claim server)"
Once you leave the server - you have no stats to see.

I know that, I meant the other server, since I know it has always been able to track those, and it's the only one I'm interested into actually, aka this one:

There is only one profile on that server for DarknessSoulReaver.

There are any number of indeterminable factors which could affect your profile not being updated, from not playing long enough in a session, to failure to scan the server, also owing to further indeterminable factors over which Gametracker has no control i.e. the numerous pieces of hardware and software that make up the internet. It appears considerably more reliable than it is.

Gametracker can only record what it 'sees' when it sees it, and relies entirely on the server responding with the information when asked, and that information in turn being received.

You also must have a score when the server is scanned, and servers have been known to provide erroneous zero (0) scores, or Gametracker will not record activity. This is well documented throughout the forums.

I see, so what's my best bet right now?
Just playing and rank some xp hoping that somehow Gametracker will pick up sooner or later and start re-updating my old profile?

P.S: it may be useless, but should I try to open the port 27960 on my end?

UPDATE: I don't know what I did but it picked it up, I can see me online now!
