I've got a Counter strike 1.6 server with DNS name and all,had a France (or Germany) ip host and i've made a request on my host company to change it to a romanian host. Got the new ip this morning,moved everything from old server to the new one (so now they are 2 servers with the same name ) but when I tried to add new ip on GameTracker to claim te new server it says it's banned.

To mention - old ip and server will be off from tomorow.

Can't do a proper unban request because i can't add to claim the server.
It could be the DNS problem? beeing 2 servers with the same name? I spoke with the dns provider and he'll update the name with the new ip today.

How can i unban the server and claim it ?

This is the old ip who will stop working from tomorow

There is only one way to request a server be unbanned: Requests for Server Reranking and Unbans

De-rank;
- Allowed to be registered on Gametracker
- Not allowed to participate in server rankings
- Must have page ownership to request re-ranking.

Banned;
- Not allowed to be registered on Gametracker.
- For obvious reasons does not require page ownership to make the request.
- Must claim server after ban removed or the ban will likely be restored.

IP/Port bans are for the most serious and repeat offenders.
They are very rarely lifted.
I recommend that you follow the procedure in the link above. It will be up to the admin who reviews the requests.
Do not expect immediate results. Most applications wait at least 4 days.

Thank you for the fast reply. I've tried already there but my post was deleted because (i am sure) i didn't claim the server first. Problem is,i can't add the server and claim it because it's banned.

So,the only thing helping me here is to change my server ip?

All posts in the 'Requests for Server Reranking and Unbans' thread are deleted following review; successful or not.

There is one other possible reason for posts being deleted; multiple posts for the same server in the thread.

It often takes several days for the posts in the thread to be reviewed by an administrator.

This is not unreasonable given that all de-rankings and bans are independently assessed by an administrator before they are imposed.

That mean he/she knows the server was guilty of the offence.
Why should a server be immediately re-ranked when found guilty of 'cheating'?

Waiting a few days is part of the 'punishment' to discourage similar behaviour in future. Sadly, many do not learn this lesson easily.

As I said above, IP/Port bans are rarely lifted.
1. Don't create a second post as double posting results in all posts being deleted.
2. If your post is deleted and, the server remains banned, you should assume the ban will remain in place permanently - get a new IP address (and do everything possible to ensure it is an allowed IP/Port on Gametracker before you hand over your money.
