Ranking Guidelines

Attempting to cheat the ranking system in any way will result in a ban/derank for all servers involved.

Server boosting, redirects, and duplicate servers will lead to a permanent ban.

Bans/deranks from bots/idle players will be lifted if the issue is corrected however, repeat offenses also lead to permanent bans.

Additional information:

- If you have the message on your server page:
"This server has been detected to report fake or idle clients and it is not eligible to be ranked."

It could have been de-ranked for ANY of the 7 reasons listed in the first link.

- Spectators/Moderators still count as idle clients.

- Spamming posts will result in account suspension.

- For unclaimed server pages: please claim the server page before posting your request. All requests for re-ranking must be made by the registered server owner. If you are not the server owner your post will be deleted.

- Music bots still count as bots.

If the whole IP is deranked/banned it's permanent. You will have to request a new IP to have a ranked server.

"I just rented/purchased this server and my whole IP is deranked/banned."

If a whole IP is deranked/banned it's because every server on that IP was fake.

There are some non-reputable game server providers that artificially boost the rank of their servers, then resell them to unsuspecting customers. If the server is rented or purchased though a game server provider and the whole IP is deranked/banned, it's likely the result of your providers actions.

Hello, i recently got a server from a hosting and tried to set it up for weeks. I wanted to claim the server and set it on gametracker as well but i realised that it's been suspended, probably because of previous owners of the server since the current stats of the server do not belong to me. I'd like the server to be reseted completely and get in ranking if possible. Thanks in advance!

Hello, our server was flagged for fake players a few days ago. Since we are the Jailbreak server with the largest player base in Türkiye, we request a re-evaluation. Players/bots on the server. Can you please lift the ban? They are making fake reports.

I am not sure did you needed a depth review at all. With 3 clicks, you can find all information for all servers in the top positions, where and how they boost their servers.
If you are going to chase servers for this reason, make it fair and chase all of them, not only mine.
I will help you with only one server, which I found in 10 seconds.

My Advice, if you want to play fair for all, just copy-paste the server IP and you will find out the entire network of his Boost.

No one said you can't advertise your server. Server advertisement is one of the primary functions of this site, which is why there is a 'Server Banners' section on each server page that offers server status images. You know...for advertising. Of which, you can still do even if the server isn't listed in the rankings.

Honestly, I would imagine the primary reason of running a server is to actually play the game itself and to try building a community with other players that seek the same tailored experience you offer on your server, e.g., custom maps and game modes. I honestly don't see why everyone is so eager to turn hosting a server into a popularity contest.

And yes, I do realize it can be difficult to build a steady regular population for a server, and that users tend to gravitate toward servers with a higher population. But if all the top servers are filled with bots and fake clients what actual type of community are you going to have? You might as well just run a local server with bots for the same experience.

If you take a look at the actual in-game/Steam CS 1.6 server lists you'll see it is just absolutely flooded with fake servers that seem to only have the goal of spreading malware or advertising garbage. How would it be any different here if we just allow a wild west of boosted servers? I already deal enough gruff trying to filter out all the actual fake servers flooding GT. Of which, all originate from the boosting sites people use. People do come here to the GT server listings as an alternative to find actual servers and players. It lies on the GT staff to filter out the fakes.

There are many factors to consider when determining a server is violating the ranking rules, and I don't want to be making arbitrary decisions that may de-rank legitimate servers. Like I mentioned before, I dismissed multiple reports against your server in the past due to insufficient evidence. It was only after finding sufficient evidence that you were de-ranked. With so many CS 1.6 servers using non-official server binaries it allows for users to connect with unofficial clients that use invalid/fake SteamIDs, which helps mask fake clients in status reports. So, we can't just join a server and determine who is real or not based on SteamID without having actual rcon access to the server. There are also many ways to hide server CVARs that would help indicate if specific mods are being utilized to introduce fake clients. We do the best we can with the information that is available. Some servers may slip through the cracks, such as your server has for a long time.

The bottom line. The use of boosting services with bots and fake clients, as well as mass idling, to artificially inflate the server population is not allowed for the server rankings on Gametracker.com. It has been this way for years. If your server is boosted, it'll be de-ranked. You are allowed a maximum of three bots, or idles, for advertising purposes. If there are repeated violations the offending server IP will be blacklisted from the site entirely, and ANY related accounts banned. I've spent way to much time on this reply, and the discussion as a whole as it is. No further discussion of this topic will be conducted within this thread. I'll leave this reply intact for awhile in hopes it knocks some sense in to people. But any further replies that aren't pertaining to a rank unban request will be deleted.

we always followed the rules like we have idle/afk kicker on and fake players cant join server . it has been like months we were in top and never broke any rules.

Jumping this request ahead of the line real quick. I did find some loose association with a boosting site/service in the recent past for your server, but this no longer seems to be the case.

However, I did check your server somewhat recently and there were still active clients with invalid SteamIDs, likely from using a third party binary for the server, which was a main point of contention with a past event. However, we don't have any strict restrictions on that at the moment, so there currently isn't enough sufficient evidence at the moment to actually justify a de-rank.

Ranking re-enabled at the moment, but will monitor moving forward.

Our Discord Server has around 5.000 Member's , i don't and will never use FAKE Player's or Idle Player's , i'm better of playing with 10/32 REAL Player's
