Hello gametracker.com team i check other servers are okay no server got his server stats reseted,
I wanted to know why my all players stats got reseted yesterday?

Yesterday we began a database maintenance cleanup process that had not been run in quite some time. During this cleanup, we discovered a bug in our server deletion process that was inadvertently clearing player score data for servers whose underlying node infrastructure had been reassigned to a new server. We identified the issue, immediately stopped the cleanup operation, and deployed a fix. Unfortunately, your server was impacted before we were able to halt the process.

The issue affected only a small percentage of servers on GameTracker, and we've added safeguards to ensure this cannot happen again. Unfortunately, the score data that was removed cannot be restored, but scores will begin accumulating again normally as your server is scanned going forward.

We're sorry for the frustration this caused. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

now i m using it as a proxy for my players, can you please ban this ip so they cant add it again? i tried to delete but still people add it, i would ask to blacklist or ban it from gametracker so it doesnt get better rank as is just a redirect proxy from old server to my new ip. it would be so helpful

Bad news, it seems to have happened again (to my server at least) sometime in the last 20hrs of this comment.

Even worse, there are 10 players now listed and they have never played on my server so no idea how they got there.

Some one is hacking and erasing game states now for over a week or so.
I took your stats off my website.

Did you back up your servers with old back ups?

I rented a new server registered it with game tracker and stats are crazy but never logged in to my server.

It seems no one cares anymore about gaming stuff.

Makes me sad.

Why have report bug forum and nobody does anything.

My one server they are putting 68 to a 100 playes in stats every day and I delete them.

That tells me it is like an old worm virus and it will take down your server.

I just Care.

Thank you for following up - your report helped us track down an additional issue.

We found that some servers were sharing the same underlying data node, which can cause player data from different servers to overlap. When this happens, score resets and unfamiliar player names appearing on your server's stats page are the result.

We've deployed a fix that clones the affected servers' player data to dedicated nodes so each server has its own isolated data store going forward.

If you notice any further issues with your server's stats after the next scan cycle, please let us know and we'll investigate immediately.

TommyGun, thank you for the detailed report - we hear you and we appreciate you caring enough to follow up.

What you're describing with the phantom players is not a hack or virus. We found that some servers on GameTracker were sharing the same underlying data node, which can cause player stats from one server to appear on another. It's possible your server was affected by this - it would explain why you're seeing 68-100 players per day that never actually connected to your server.

This is a bug on our end, not something being done to your server. We've deployed a fix that moves affected servers to their own dedicated data nodes, which will stop the cross-contamination. You should no longer need to manually delete those players going forward.

OK the mystery stats have stopped accruing, but it looks like none of my server stats are updating now (I screen shot them yesterday to compare)

To test, I jumped on today for about 10 minutes and got exactly 50 kills (about 6 hrs ago), but my stats on the server page are still at 65 where they were yesterday.

If I look at my personal stats page, you can see it says "Last Seen: Today" but neither the 50 kills or the 10 minutes are showing in the today column of the historical data graphs:

So looks like we still have a problem

Edit: I may have spoken too soon, I just tried with an alt account it seemed to have worked. I will try again with primary account and update this post

Edit 2: Main account is now updating, gone from 65 to 91, but it should have been 142 as I got 77 kills. Will check again tomorrow and update
