I recently bought CoD4 over the Steam winter holiday sale, and I feel like I made a complete mistake in doing so since I can't even play the game. I saw that it runs on Macs, and so, I installed it on my MacBook Pro (2014).

I've tried everything I could find to do to connect to servers in the game. I put CoD4 in GameTracker (it couldn't find the game through scanning), and when I try to open it through GameTracker, it says "Alert: Steam has to be running" or something to that effect. Steam is obviously running on my laptop.

So, then I copied and pasted the IP into the command line in the game to connect to, and that didn't work (I did it correctly, using "connect [IP]". Then I tried putting the IP into my favorites list in the game. When I did that, the game showed 0/0 players in the server, no ping, etc.

What am I doing wrong here?
