Bans of your GameTracker account:

We are very conservative in everything we handle, like bans, content removal, derankings, and so forth. Our admins must have evidence of something to have taken place (or currently taking place) to do anything. Reports from other users, including any content they submit, is not evidence we use for justification. Any report from a user is a pointer that allows us to locate where to look.


Common ban reasons:

Spam content - Your typical spam bot.
Other spamming - May include mass forum posting, server blog spam, spamming PMs, mass creating teams/servers/etc, spamming admins and abuse reports, and anything else that you can excessively do.
Abusive behavior - Repeated personal attacks, trolling, attacks on server pages.
Servers abuse - Things that we might ban servers for, we might ban accounts as well. Depends.
Something against the TOS - That thing you said you read.


Things we do not ban for:

Free speech - We believe in the right to free speech, though we have our own limits. For example, we may remove content if it is excessive, personal attacks, pornography, illegal content, or something at our discretion.


Common questions

Q. One person is reporting me, will I be banned?
A. Only if there is a legitimate reason to do so.

Q. Fifty people are reporting me, will I be banned?
A. Only if there is a legitimate reason to do so. Only one report is needed. People spamming abuse reports does not increase the likelihood anything will be done.

Q. How do I appeal an account ban?
A. When your profile is suspended, visiting it will provide you a message on where to contact to get your account reinstated

Q. How do I increase my chances of getting a favorable result when I ask for a reversal?
A. Be honest. Act civilly. Be concise. We cannot guarantee a favorable result for every request, no matter how good of an appeal you write.

Q. Are bans permanent?
A. Most spamming related bans or bans related to adding fake servers are permanent.
