I want to switch the TF2 server that I currently have with my GT Gold account to Crysis Wars (to support the small community that still exists), but however no masterservers are online for that game anymore.
There are unofficial replacement master-servers that many use over at the QTracker GameSpy Master Emulation page, but I'm unsure what GameTracker/GameServers use for GameSpy games. You're still offering GameSpy-enabled gameservers (such as Crysis Wars), but it's unclear whether they use QTracker's emulation or not. I do not want to purchase a Windows-based dedicated server simply to host just one gameserver, as I'm happy with my current Linux VPS (which by the way can't host Crysis Wars servers, even with Wine, it just doesn't work). Could this be clarified? If not, is there any scope to make the change to QTracker's emulation in the near future? I realise that GT Gold servers are provided 'as is' without full control (other than start, stop, restart, etc), but as you're still offering Crysis Wars servers you should really be using the QTracker emulation. Thanks. |

I don't know if they have that, but my guess would be no for legal purposes. For many games, I believe certain server files are locked down to prevent people from making them cracked, non-steam, etc.
Your best bet would be to send an email to the GT Premium support address. ![]() |
