Hello, my server (http://www.gametracker.com/server_info/104.153.105.92:27015) recently moved to better hardware into the new IP and new server box (https://www.gametracker.com/server_info/149.56.106.38:27015)

I noticed it was possible to transfer stats, which I began to do. I also was wondering how I can transfer ranks from the old server to the new one? I saw a post talking about the DNS address, but I wasn't quite sure how I was supposed to do that.

I tried putting the new server's IP in the old servers DNS manage page, but apparently it couldn't be resolved/wasn't a valid IP address.

Rank is not transferred. There is no method to do so.

Clarification: you can "transfer" rank using the DNS feature.

A DNS address is something like "gametracker.com" "gmodserver.gametracker.com" etc. If you have a domain name, you can use that feature.
