What image length and width is recommended for an avatar
Jul 07, 2017 12:20 PM
So i've seen some people's profiles and the avatar doesn't fully show up... As in, the 3/4 of the image shows but not everthing. What width x lenght is needed for the WHOLE image to show.

thanks in advance ~

I've tried various heights and widths for my avatar.
What I noticed is that images which are 236 x 236 (height x length) will fully render on your profile.

The avatar on your profile is actually a 64 x 64 image. This is true, look at the images below and the properties after I’ve downloaded them.

Head over to:
http://compressimage.toolur.com/
This is a free online image compressing site, compress your pic into dimensions 236 x 236 and then upload.

Update: I’ve tried using an image with the dimensions: 244 x 207 on my other account.

Here’s how it renders…

Now by using the 236 x 236 image it works perfectly fine and the whole image renders.

And here it is, fully rendered:

Snipping tool is a free software that comes with Windows. Simply just search for 'Snipping Tool' in your start menu and you'll be able to capture what's displayed on your screen.

I usually upload my images to imgbb.com ... They have fully linked BBcode for thumbnails and images. It's the best image uploading site; its fully linked BBcode makes it easy to post images on any forum.

BBCode (bulletin board code) is a collection of formatting tags that are used to format users' posts in GameTracker's Forum and the Text-based Games Forum. BBCode is based on the same principle as, and is similar to, HTML. BBCode can be used for things such as colored text, underlined text, pictures, and links.

Because of how BBCode works, content surrounded with a right-facing and left-facing square bracket will become invisible.

Basic BBCode
The following is the basics of BBCode.

Text Style

Bold — Shows as Bold
Italics — Shows as Italics
Underline — Shows as Underline
Red text — Shows as Red text (Note: #FF0000 is the hexadecimal color code for red).
Blue text — Shows as Blue text

It can also be used for quoting, adding links, images, smilies etc

Here's the actual BBcode that was used to show what i wrote above;

Edit - Also remember that some BBcode like strikethrough [s]text here[/s], tables, lists etc aren't available on GameTracker.
