I have migrated stats from old server to new servver and tried to add the DNS to change the IP. End up the new one with stats get replaced by the old one and all the stats are gone.

The whole point of updating to a dns host name is that your IP can be changed (providing you 'point' your dns to the new address), without changing anything else.
There is no need to add a server or migrate statistics. They are separate options: Migrate Player Stats OR Use DNS to migrate entire server page.
