edit server ip-adress
Jan 22, 2019 12:29 AM
Hi !
Maybe it would be a useful thing if server owner nowadays could edit their server data (ip-adres) because in 2019 we host own server at our own environment with dynamic ip-adresses. So if we could update the ip here manually or maybe automated by using a dynip adress, that would be fine.
Is there a chance to get that option in future, or is i implemented yet and I didn't find it ?

Ngl I had to reset my server and it changed its IP, kinda +1 on the idea of changing the IP cause I cba going through the verification shit again due to the servers being full almost always until about 2-3am GMT when I'm asleep..

We had enough trouble with people using dns to fake other people's servers.
Allowing people to change their IP address could only make it worse.

I think we will also find that the IP:port is the primary key of the database table storing basic server information.
If you know anything about relational databases, you will know that you never modify a primary key value.

I think you can give up the idea of this request ever being implemented.
