Which distribution of AVP are you playing? For the 2010 version of AVP, we only support the steam version. We have not added the boxed (retail) edition just yet.

yes i use the avp 2010, and its original and using with steam.

That error is a bit more common. Depending on the application causing it, you may need to install the visual C++ 2008 and/or 2010 runtime. I would suggest installing the 2008 runtime first (this is used by GT Lite).
