Bear with me because I'm not knowledgeable about all of the aspects of game server setup through GT. At the moment, I'm just an Aliens vs. Predator 2010 player trying understand why AvP isn't listed in the PLAYING drop down box for easy AvP server searching. What AvP servers are available are listed under "Natural Selection", but that's an entirely unrelated and different game than AvP.

Does a person have to make a request to GT to have Aliens vs. Predator added as a game name category?

Currently, there are 5 AvP servers mixed in with 68 Natural Selection servers.

If GT needs to create an AvP game name category for the PLAYING drop down list, it would be nice if it were done. If this is something a game server admin has to do, let me know and I'll pass along the info so AvP can get listed correctly.

At the moment, there are a lot of servers listed via AvP's in game server listing. Yet, what few servers there are with decent low ping times are usually full. Also, the game server refresh ability in game and via Steam are a little flakey since whole swaths of servers disappear during a refresh cycle. Some of the servers that disappear have open slots and good ping times. So, having an AvP game category on GT would give AvP players a better idea of what servers are actually available and which ones they can join.

Right clicking on the Steam app icon for Servers shows 48 servers at this time (1/2/2011 4:15 PM MST/MDT) using only Game: Aliens vs Predator and Latency: < 600 as filter parameters.

Ok. I looked through all 33 pages of the GameTracker General Help & F.A.Q.s first to see if there was an answer to this seemingly general FAQ, but I didn't see any similar questions. I guess I'll have to go slog through the bug report forum to find this thread you mentioned.

Yeah, that sticky seems more like a General Help & F.A.Q. topic than a bug report topic. As a matter of fact, after seeing the topic "Want more banners (image, html, etc)?" in the bug reports secion, I think there needs to be a new GT forum category called "GT Requests". Neither "Want a game or voice program added?" nor "Want more banners (image, html, etc)?" qualify as a "something is screwed up with GT" bug report.
