We have a AA2 non honor fun server which we would like to track stats on for the benefit of our members, when I try to claim it, it says it cannot be scanned and shows as dead in the tracker, please advise.

I am not able to scan this server. You can confirm this on HLSW (hlsw.org). I believe AA2 contains config options to enable scanning, have you checked that out? If this is a GameServers.com server, you could try asking support for help.
