Question about scan updates

I am hearing that this might happen again and it's only a few select servers? Why only a few select and what happened to the stats? I find this interesting but a little troubling if true.

Thanks.

BTW it is happening again, as I type.

SERVER DETAILS

Request Failed - Invalid Response

This clan has worked hard to bring up its stats and now it looks like they are being singled out.

"Request Failed - Invalid Response" indicates a javascript error when trying to update the server page. This will not affect your actual server stats in any way. You can refresh the webpage to see the current server details without relying on the javascript update.

I'll look into the cause of the javascript errors.

Thanks for the reply. I guess the loss of 5 hours of stats, with an almost full server the entire time, is what bothers us. Every little bit counts

Thanks again.

It is now 3 days later and they have gone from 523 -> 579. The loss of 5 hours of stats seems to have done more damage than warranted. Their player numbers have been consistent, as the graph verifies.

Explanation please. Thanks.

OK the decline continues. ---> 589 & 94th percentile. Really, what is going on? And why?

In the past week, you seem to have had slower than usual days (last weekend). After the week passes, if you have consistent popularity again, you should notice the decline decreases more or even may go back up. However, in a game of 8000 listed servers on GameTracker, 60 ranks is only very very minor.
I am retired from GameTracker after 11 years and will not be responsive for support requests.

I understand what you are saying yet, the numbers have been fairly consistent this past month and they were rising in rank. Since the scan problems last weekend, it doesn't seem to matter how many players are on the server or for how long, the ranking keeps dropping. To go from 520+ -> 590 in 5 days seems inconsistent.

Thanks again for the reply.

The main factor affecting server rank is the average players for the past month. This is generated from the same data used in building the "NUMBER OF PLAYERS" graph for your server. These both look fairly normal for your server.

Do you notice there are servers with higher rank than yours who have significantly less average players per month?

Do you believe that, overall, the "NUMBER OF PLAYERS" graph for your server is incorrect?

From looking at your server neither of those cases appears to be true. I don't see any reason to suspect that your server is ranked incorrectly in relation to the other COD4 servers on GameTracker.com.
