On my teamspeak banner it says "To join games through your internet browser, you MUST have GameTracker Lite installed on your computer." However this is not the case. When click on join it will allow me to select what software to use when open the link. After picking TS3 it opens TS3 & connects no problem...

Why then do you guys have "To join games through your internet browser, you MUST have GameTracker Lite installed on your computer. " on everyone's banner? It's kinda like fake advertising.

Would it not be better to be honest & say :
"To join games through your internet browser, we prefer you have GameTracker Lite installed on your computer. "

Sorry for the rant but it's bugging me..As I don't like lying to my site users..

I believe Vent, TS, and TS3 are the only ones that do not open through GT Lite.

I know it's old but it's relevant.

My clan leader changed websites recently and now were directed to download gtlite so we can connect to TS, I installed game tracker and made an account thinking I actually needed it to connect through the website but after reading this I can see it's nothing but dishonest false advertising!

I'm uninstalling gt since I was tricked into downloading it under false pretense!

I'm sorry to hear your clan leader intentionally tricked you into downloading GT Lite. That is not correct - I'm not sure why he would do that to you. Please be sure to correct him on his claim.

You are correct - you do not need to download GT Lite in order to use TeamSpeak. That's why GameTracker's JOIN buttons use TS3's protocol so it opens TS3 directly, and when you click the JOIN button on the server page, it says:

Launch with TeamSpeak 3!
To join Teamspeak 3 voice servers through your internet browser, you MUST have TeamSpeak 3 installed on your computer.
