for the third time..................
Jul 21, 2011 7:53 PM
I have posted three times regarding this server and one post deleted. there is no way this, or any, server has a flat line for 10 days straight, with the same players on for 10 days straight 24/7. It got stuck, bugged. It is ,apart from thos 10 days, almost always empty. Why is it no 1. It has affected rank of all the other servers ranks. Why will gametracker not do anything about this. Sort it out please.

Since the server is not doing it right now; I have no idea what you expect us to do. The server does not need to be deranked if it is not running fake players.

Yes I do expect you to de rank that server. They were fake players,(or if not quite fake players, incorrect stats) albeit due to a bug. Its a flat line, 24/7 for 10 days. The same players were recorded as playing 24/7 for 10 days ? It is those ten days of stats that moved that servers rank from quite a bit down to rank 1. Noone could join that server during that time, and looking at its prior history and subsequent history it clearly doesn't fit. The stats gathered from those ten days are clearly not "real". I am not saying it was done deliberately, but yes, I would expect you to recalculate rank on the basis that those 10 days are removed from that server's stats. You could do the same for our server (for the short time before we noticed).

Since I cannot confirm it; I cannot derank it. I cannot only go on suspicion unfortunately.

Sorry for sarcasm. Forget about server rank, their's will drop quickly, I guess, anyway.(it is not just our server)

From a purely academic perspective. I mean that because I am just interested now. You track A LOT of servers. I am sure you must see graphs of server activity all the time. You must have a feel for what is "normal" for those. You may even have a way to superimpose the stats on a per game basis, or region or whatever parameter you choose as long as you collect data for that paramater. I have no idea how sophisticated your data analysis is. I am not asking for anything commercial or whatever , but broadly speaking.

Have you any insights about server usage in general ?
Is that kind of flat line on any server usual or unusual ?
Is there a comparable area where something is available 24/7 to random people ?
Just curious about what can be learned from this kind of data collection. Are numbers of servers tracked rising/falling , in a linear way, exponential.............. ???????????

You can view http://www.gametracker.com/games/brink/ on the right for brink stats, or navigate to other games via the games button in the navigation.

I'm not sure what other stats you are interested in. can you elaborate on those?
