I've been having problem with either attacks or misconfigured game status systems flooding my servers, so I had to implement strict firewall rules. People can play, and GameSpy works, but Gametracker is blocked. If I open my firewall, everything on my system slows to a crawl.
I tried adding the IP addresss of Gametracker.com and that did not wotk. So what IP address or range of IP addresses does GameTracker use to query servers? If I know those, I can put them in my firewall to allow the traffic from Gametracker. |

GameTracker has hundreds of IPs so it would be time consuming for you to add each and to maintain. Because of this, a list has never been released. I would recommend contacting your server provider and request that they implement decent DDOS protection.

How about posting an IP address range then?

OK, it turns out after a session with WireShark, I found out it was just ONE trouble maker so I blocked just that address (from the UK oddly enough) and let everything else through, so GameTracker is now working normally with my servers.
