Hello,
GT Lite can be removed through the windows control panel. 1. Open windows control panel. 2. Navigate to "Add / Remove programs" or "Programs and Features". 3. A list will populate, find "GameTracker Lite". 4. Click "Uninstall". If a GT Lite shortcut remains on your desktop, you can delete the shortcut by dragging it to the windows recycle bin. |

Hello,
I wanted to make sure that you were removing GT Lite properly. The proper way to remove GT Lite is through the windows control panel. Following the uninstall wizard that opens from the control panel will completely remove GT Lite from your computer. If an error occurs during the removal process, then GT Lite will not be fully removed. If you are receiving an error, please post a screenshot or the complete error text, and I'll help you resolve the issue. |

Hello again,
Since GT Lite is in your system tray (by the clock), it means that GT Lite is still running. Here is what I would suggest: 1. Double click on the GT Lite tray icon. 2. Log into GT Lite (if you are not logged in already). 3. Open the settings window (GT Lite window -> Edit menu -> Settings...) 4. Uncheck "Start program when computer starts". 5. Click "OK" on the "Settings" window. 6. Quit GT Lite (GT Lite window -> Account menu -> Exit). That should stop GT Lite from starting with your computer, and close GT Lite. If there is still an issue with the icon on your desktop, then you'll have to describe it further. I assume it is a shortcut, which you should be able to drag to the recycle bin... but you have stated otherwise. Perhaps posting a screenshot or errors when trying to delete it will allow me to help you further. |

Hello there, I'm also having trouble uninstalling. Thanks for the tip about stopping it opening on windows startup, which is a help; it would be nice to get it off the computer as well though.
I've tried to uninstall the correct way, but receive the error as shown in the picture: http://i.imgur.com/Mh8Kk.jpg If I click yes then the program stays there. I've just had some corruption/virus faff up my system which required a repair and restore, so this may be related. Is it possible to manually uninstall? I'm happy dealing with registry keys etc if I knew which ones. Thanks in advance if you can help. |

Hi kenny_dave,
I'm sorry to hear that you have had tech issues with your computer lately. I have not yet seen that GT Lite uninstall error. I'm curious, what version of Windows are you running? Also, is there any particular way that you have Windows accounts setup (e.g: trying to uninstall as a non-administrator?) I only recommend editing the registry if you're sure that you know what you are doing, as editing the registry incorrectly can cause damage to your Windows installation. These are the steps to remove GT Lite manually: 1. In the Windows Services panel, stop and permanently disable GSInGameService executable. 2. Delete your "Program Files\GameTracker" folder (where GT Lite is installed). 3. Remove the following registry keys: 32 bit Windows: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\GameTracker Lite 64 bit Windows: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\GameTracker Lite Best regards. |
