HOW DO I RESOLVE "Unable to launch requested game as it is not a known game."
If you are experiencing this error, it is because you are trying to launch a game that GT Lite doesn't recognized as "installed". You probably have experienced this by clicking a GT "join" link.
GT Lite does not come with any games.
GT Lite only recognizes games that you have installed on your computer.
To resolve this error, you will have to let GT Lite know where the game is installed on your computer. This can be done using the "Add Game" window, located in the "Games" tab of the "Settings" window.

Maybe this helps.

Hi spahmaniac90,

The "Unable to communicate with GT Lite in-game service" can be caused by several different issues.

I would recommend reading this forum thread: http://www.gametracker.com/forums/forum.php?site=1&thread=59855&cfrmpstspge=3#cfrmpsts

Typically the causes/solutions are:

1. On Windows, you have disabled the "GS In Game Service" from the Windows services panel. This needs to be enabled.

2. On Windows, Windows Firewall (or additional firewall software you have installed) has detected GT Lite and automatically prevented it from communicating with the GSInGameService process. You may need to add exceptions to your firewall for both GTLite.exe and GSInGameService.exe.

3. On Mac, you have moved the install location from "/Applications/GameTracker" to somewhere else. At the current time, GTLite for Mac requires installation to "/Applications/GameTracker".

Hope this helps.

PS: GTLite does not depend on any Windows .NET components.

Hi some111,

I'd be glad to assist you further, but you'll need to tell me more about your configuration. Can you provide as much information as mentioned in this post? http://www.gametracker.com/forums/forum.php?site=1&thread=42459

To sum up my previous post, there must be two "exe" files running on your computer: "GTLite.exe" and "GSInGameService.exe". Both of these "exe" files must not be firewalled. Some versions of Windows Firewall (and 3rd party firewalls) will automatically block one/both of these "exe" files. This is the most common cause of the error.

Also, you may want to try re-installing GT Lite.
