Hi xkaotic,
The "Unable to communicate with GT Lite in-game service" can be caused by several different issues. I would recommend reading this forum thread: http://www.gametracker.com/forums/forum.php?site=1&thread=59855&cfrmpstspge=3#cfrmpsts Typically the causes/solutions are: 1. On Windows, you have disabled the "GS In Game Service" from the Windows services panel. This needs to be enabled. 2. On Windows, Windows Firewall (or additional firewall software you have installed) has detected GT Lite and automatically prevented it from communicating with the GSInGameService process. You may need to add exceptions to your firewall for both GTLite.exe and GSInGameService.exe. 3. On Mac, you have moved the install location from "/Applications/GameTracker" to somewhere else. At the current time, GTLite for Mac requires installation to "/Applications/GameTracker". Hope this helps. |

Hello,
Depending on the firewall software that you are using, GTLite.exe and GSInGameService.exe may not appear in the program. Most firewall programs block all programs, and allow you to add exceptions for specific programs. Try adding exceptions for both GTLite.exe and GSInGameService.exe. If either of these programs are being blocked by a firewall, you will not be able to log into GT Lite. Best regards. |
