For some reason my mic will not work while I'm on Gametracker, but works fine when I'm off GT and on MP COD2 through my PC install.
Also, is there away I can add "manually" a server on my COD2 MP server search? Thanks, Nylo COD2 A[DB]Tactical OSC Tactical

I will move your post to the GT Lite forum for your GT Lite issue with your mic not working with GT Lite running.
If you have other servers that are not on GameTracker yet, you can add them from http://www.gametracker.com/servers/ ![]() |

Im not talking about adding a server to GT Lite. I know how to do that. I want to add a server to my copy of COD2 when I choose multi-player. I want to stay off of GT Lite because its not letting my mic work. When Im on MP from my COD2 CD my mike works. That is if someone can tell me why my mic wont work when I login to GT Lite. Ive Goggled up and down and cannot find anything on this.
Thanks, Nylo |

Hi nylo,
That's a bizarre issue with GT Lite and your Mic. I've actually heard at least one other similar complaint since the inception of GT Lite. It is most likely related to the sound notifications feature within GT Lite. Unfortunately there is no way to disable this feature at the current time. My advice would be to try and see if any sound driver updates are available for your computer. Sometimes a driver update will help resolve these types of issues. Best regards. |

Maul,
All of my drivers are up to date, but that was a good suggestion. Right now Im stumped. It definitely has something to do with GT Lite. I play on COD2 OSC Tactical, and A{DB} Tactical. I'm wondering if this is an admin thing because I cannot access the config to set my voice quality. They have it blocked for some reason. Thanks, Nylo

nylo wrote: Are you testing your ability to use your mic on servers that you have confirmed have voice chat enabled? It may be best to try non-modded servers, just in case, as there could be issues in the mod itself or it could cause the game to read a different config than the default. For example, you may need to readjust your game settings after you launch a mod or edit your config in your /mods/server_mod_name folder instead of the default location (which I believe is /main/). (I have not worked with COD2 mods, so I am unsure if they work this way) ![]() |

Burn,
Both servers that I listed have voice chat enabled due to the fact I can hear others talking away. The config on both servers are blocked. Why? I don't know. I can get to the config when I'm just using MP off of my COD2 installation on my PC. I can voice chat there as well, but when I launch GT and go to a server from there its stops. Nylo |

I think I figured it out.
Its in the config, ie. "/SV_VoiceQuality 9." COD2 OSC Tactical lets you access the config so I got my microphone working. COD2 A[DB] Tactical does not allow you to use its config. An admin told me its blocked. Why I don't know. My problem is now it will not save my settings. Every time I log in I have to re-enter VQ. :/ Thanks, Nylo |
