Anyone know how to get around 7's compatibility issues it would much appreciated if you could pass it on. I've tried a number of various ways with no luck as of yet. Here's hoping someone's answer works.

Well the answer lies with XP Mode for Windows 7, however, I believe t is only available if you have Windows 7 Enterprise, Professional or Ultimate editions. Here is the link: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/download.aspx

I have used this method many times when getting older games to run, also, you have probably already tried it, but check out the compatibility tab on the properties of the executable file, it works sometimes.

All the best, and if you need more help just ask.

I have run cod2 on w7 with no issues or messing with compatibility settings.
All i did was explore game cd found the setup.exe and run it.

The game installed fine with no issues and runs very well.

The Auto run on cd fails on window7 & vista64 bit you have to look on game cd for the setup.exe
