Okay, I was having trouble accessing gametracker.com. I would get website not found in all my browsers. I also found that other people are having the same issue. I did find a resolution to getting the site back but, the banners are not working. Here is what I found that allowed me to come here and post. I went in my windows folder and pulled up the host file. I added this line to it:
208.167.225.11 www.gametracker.com Now I am able to access Gametracker.com. I don't know why the banners don't work. I believe that something is going on with the DNS. I have posted this information on our clans website to spread the word. I thought the website had gone down! Or I was banned from it. People that are having this issue are not able to contact you without a contact email. One should be posted on your site. |

You may want to try clearing your web browser cache. CCleaner can do this well or you may also have another tool you prefer.
You may also want to try clearing the DNS, if you believe that is your problem. Try entering "ipconfig /flushdns" to your command prompt. The answer by Foad T on http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080106034647AAmAkmg may help you understand it more. ![]() |

Ok did both of those...Still no banners.
And, no avatars! Just noticed. I am not able to come to this site unless I mod the "HOST" file in windows. I am not the only one having this trouble. |

Without the host file set up, can you open up your command prompt again and type "nslookup gametracker.com" and post which IP addresses show for the site?
What other steps have you taken to try to fix it? You may be able to find a lot of possible fixes by doing a Google search. ![]() |

Ok, well, ... I did the nslookup with
the host file modded and without had same result. For some reason it has been reset to my router. Where can I edit this? OR, is my router blocking the site? ô¿ô

I am not quite sure why you cannot resolve the site to an IP properly without the host record. If you believe it to be your router, you may want to check out the documentation for which ever one you have. You may be able to find helpful information from it.

Update:
I seem to have resolved the issue for this site. I had used 8.8.8.8 for my DNS and removed the edit in my "HOST" file. Banners are working and I am able to come to this site now. However, the same thing is now happening to another website. Before I changed anything it started. Still working on it... |
