This thread contains some troubleshooting information for users experiencing "Unable to communicate with GT Lite in-game service" errors.
** Windows users ** - Is there a process running on your computer named "GSInGameService.exe"? "GSInGameService.exe" is a core component of GT Lite. This service may have been disabled. This appears in the Windows Services panel as "GS In-Game Service". The following link will teach you how to access Windows services: ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_service ). You may also reinstall GT Lite. Follow the steps below for reinstalling GT Lite. - Are you running security/firewall/anti-virus software? You may need to add an exception for both "GTLite.exe" and "GSInGameService.exe" to your security software. These programs must be able to communicate with each other. - Reinstalling GT Lite 1. Shut down GT Lite. 2. Visit our downloads page: http://www.gametracker.com/downloads/ 3. Re-download and install GT Lite. - Still having problems? Please submit a bug - be as verbose as possible! ( http://www.gametracker.com/downloads/bugsubmit.php ) ** Mac users ** - Did you move GT Lite from "/Applications/GameTracker"? GT Lite is designed to reside in this folder. Follow the steps below for reinstalling GT Lite. - Reinstalling GT Lite 1. Shut down GT Lite. 2. Delete the "/Applications/GameTracker" folder (or drag it to the trash). 3. Wait 60 seconds. 4.
