Optimizing banners

Hi,

I'm using the gametracker banners for my halo servers, however they tend to load slowly...

To fix this you could cache some of its content, this is an example of a teamspeak 3 banner:

The following cacheable resources have a short freshness lifetime. Specify an expiration at least one week in the future for the following resources:

http://cache.www.gametracker.com/images/components/html0/gt_icon.gif (expiration not specified)
http://cache.www.gametracker.com/images/components/html0/online.gif (expiration not specified)
http://cache.www.gametracker.com/images/flags/nl.gif (expiration not specified)
http://cache.www.gametracker.com/images/game_icons/ts3.png (expiration not specified)
http://cache.www.gametracker.com/images/server_info/16x16_channel_green.png (expiration not specified)
http://cache.www.gametracker.com/images/server_info/16x16_player_off.png (expiration not specified)
http://cache.www.gametracker.com/images/server_info/vs_tree_item.gif (expiration not specified)
http://cache.www.gametracker.com/images/server_info/vs_tree_last.gif (expiration not specified)
http://cache.www.gametracker.com/images/server_info/vs_tree_outer.gif (expiration not specified)
http://www.gametracker.com/images/game_icons/ts3.png (expiration not specified)

Combine images into CSS sprites:
The following images served from gametracker.com should be combined into as few images as possible using CSS sprites.

http://cache.www.gametracker.com/images/components/html0/gt_icon.gif
http://cache.www.gametracker.com/images/components/html0/online.gif
http://cache.www.gametracker.com/images/flags/nl.gif
http://cache.www.gametracker.com/images/game_icons/ts3.png
http://cache.www.gametracker.com/images/server_info/16x16_channel_green.png
http://cache.www.gametracker.com/images/server_info/16x16_player_off.png
http://cache.www.gametracker.com/images/server_info/vs_tree_item.gif
http://cache.www.gametracker.com/images/server_info/vs_tree_last.gif
http://cache.www.gametracker.com/images/server_info/vs_tree_outer.gif
http://www.gametracker.com/images/game_icons/ts3.png

If you would do this for all types of banners it would save a lot of bandwidth on your side and would make websites that use these banners load a lot quicker.

This is important because google rates your website better if it loads quicker.

I hope you will improve this in the near future:D

It wouldn't really have much of an impact, but since it is still in the Bug Reports forum it is still on the todo list.
I am retired from GameTracker after 11 years and will not be responsive for support requests.
