Hey, so i recently found out about Gametracker so i tried it out. And i found out that if you favorite servers, you can sync it into the program so you can join it. but when i tried to sync it, it says it synced successfully even though the servers didn't show up on the program. I tried it again, and the same thing happened. So I decided to try joining from the website. When i tried that, an error message popped up saying "Unable to launch requested game as it is not a known game." And someone told me i have to add my Killing Floor game to the Games list, so i did. Once i added the game to the games list, i once again tried syncing the servers, but it didn't work. So now, i tried joining throught the website by clicking Join on one of the servers. The same message appeared saying it is not a known game. Please help me.

Hello,
Are you using the Windows or Mac version of GT Lite? There are some known compatibility issues with Killing Floor on the Mac version. Best regards. |

Hello again,
The current Mac client does not report stats properly for Killing Floor. This issue will most likely be patched in the next Mac client update. We will also investigate the issue that you have mentioned regarding syncing the servers list. If you're feeling daring, applying the following changes should fix the stats tracking problem. 1. Quit GT Lite. 2. Open /Applications/GameTracker/gameslist.xml 3. Locate these 3 lines: <GMID>5010</GMID> <name>Killing%20Floor</name> <short_name>ut2k4kf</short_name> Replace them with the following 3 lines: <GMID>74</GMID> <name>Killing%20Floor</name> <short_name>killingfloor</short_name> 4. Save gameslist.xml. 5. Reboot your Mac. |

Hello again. I tried using your tip, but when I opened the file "gameslist.xml" it only showed me all the coding and stuff but it didn't let me change it. How can I replace the stuff you told me to?

I believe /Applications/GameTracker is read-only. In this case, you can copy "gameslist.xml" to a location which supports writing, such as your desktop or "home" folder, edit the file, then copy it back to /Applications/GameTracker. When you copy the edited file back to /Applications/GameTracker OS X will prompt you for your login credentials. I apologize for not mentioning this earlier.
Best regards. |
