Hi,

Recently my RSP (Hypernia) has migrated to new servers and as a result my server IP's have changed. Would one of the admins be able to get in contact with me regarding changing the GameTracker entries over to the new IP's. I have worked hard to get my servers ranks to were they are and don't wish to re-add them.

If your server is just as popular, it should be close to the same rank in the next week. By the end of the month, it will be where it should be as rank only considers the past month of data - no more.

Either way - in the next week, and 30 days from now, you'll be in the same spot as you would be. Unfortunately it is not possible to fudge your rank so you have a better rank on the new IP.

Hint hint... Not of my choice..... You would think that you guys would have some kind of contingency in place for situations such as this? I can understand that there are some people out there that want to fake their rank but I really take offense to you using the word "fudge". There are legitimate people out there such as myself who have their RSP change their server IP and they have NO say in the matter. Really slack GT. Like the person said in the post you linked, its simply to change. You can do it but you cant be bothered no matter how much material I give you saying it wasn't my choice.

I can understand that your rank really does mean a lot to you personally. Features to help in this situation have been requested and will always be considered among other features.

Like I mentioned, either way in about a weeks time, your rank will right about in the same place as it would have been. If your server is just as popular, it will be back up to a high rank. If it is not as popular, it will settle at a lower rank.

Unfortunately it is very unreasonable to have to tediously go through and manually adjust servers so they work under a new IP. Fortunately, no user here has the GameTracker website code so no one can really assume the full extent of what a switch would entail.

Again, I am sorry your rank means so much to you personally, but unfortunately there is nothing in place to help you right now with this.
