Hello
I am a senior officer in a clan that is based in over 10 games, i help to lead a division of 160 members and counting. We operate with an army model, so people are ranked and then promoted or demoted depending on there activity and dedication. I am in charge of sheet that shows all of the data we look at when we promote and demote our members. in the past we have used a programme to sift through our server on game tracker and count the hours played against our roster. however i feel that it is quite beefy and it eats bandwidth on our end, so am looking to reduce it dramatically. to do this i need some information and i hope you can help me out. How does game tracker count the hours. when does it update them? how often is the site updated? how often do you change formats etc? and some general info would be cool Look forward to hearing from you MPO |

Hello,
GameTracker scans your server for general server information every 1-3 minutes and displays it on a page like http://www.gametracker.com/server_info/8.12.17.218:28930/. This shows things like the map, server name, players online, and so on. Once GT sees a player online, he/she will be shown in the online player list and the time played will start counting. Once the player leaves the server, GT will no longer show that player as online and their score and time will be saved to the historical data (if the server is claimed). This may take a few hours to update in the history. So basically, time played is the amount of time a player is on the server per nickname. If GT showed me as online for 40minutes today, 64 minutes tomorrow, and 100 minutes this weekend, I would show 204 minutes total along with the sum of my scores. ![]() |
