Once a few days this happens, when normally my server gets scanned every 4 or 5 minutes, sometimes gametracker hangs and it doesn't scan for 15 minutes, sometimes even half an hour. I noticed this happens to every server, so are there any technical difficulties or is this normal? Will it be fixed soon? I'd like to get more than 2 scans an hour...

Did GT show your server as down during that period of time? GameTracker extends periods between scans shortly after it is unable to scan the server.
GT showing your server down can be the result of a variety of things, including the server being off, firewall change blocking the port temporarily, etc. ![]() |

I think that is a very good question really. Could you elaborate more on the "variety" part? I see these delays alot myself.

1. The server is offline
2. The port is not open / portforwarded 3. There is a network issue with your server 4. Your server firewall's anti-flood mechanism is overly sensitive 5. A change was made to the server to not allow scanning Among many, use your imagination. ![]() |
