Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had a BC2 server put up and someone else claimed it, which was fine, as he set it up for me. However, I would like to claim it back as my own, and have followed the instructions. I went to Hypernia and chnaged the server name there, restarted and tried again, to no avail. I've left it and tried it 10 minutes later, and still no dice.

It says:

We were unable to verify that your server name is 'GameTrackerClaimServer'

In order to claim ownership of your server you must temporarily rename it to: GameTrackerClaimServer
This server is currently named: XXXX XXXX Mixed Map Conquest

Please check your game server config file, restart the server, and try again.

I've done all this, so I just don't understand what I am doing wrong.

It does not seem like the server name change you are making on your server is going through. Are you editing the right setting for the server to change the name? When you do, can you verify the name was actually changed? eg. by joining and checking.
